BIMvision 3.1.2, published by Datacomp IT Sp. z o.o., is a free IFC model viewer designed to open and inspect building information models generated by leading CAD/BIM applications such as Revit, Archicad, BricsCAD BIM, Advance, DDS-CAD, Tekla, Nemetschek VectorWorks, Bentley and Allplan without requiring any commercial license or vendor-specific viewer. The program natively supports the IFC 2×3 and IFC 4.0 schema standards, preserving geometry, properties, relations and project structure so that architects, engineers, contractors and facility managers can review federated models on screen, detect design clashes, check quantities and validate spatial coordination long before construction begins. A streamlined interface, fast 3-D navigation and measurement tools make it easy to interrogate any element, while the first-in-class plugin architecture lets users add custom exporters, clash rules, 4-D/5-D simulation links or data-enrichment wizards without touching the core executable. Because BIMvision is offered at zero cost, entire project teams—including owners and subcontractors who do not own authoring software—can install it independently, shortening feedback loops and reducing the number of costly late-stage changes. The viewer is currently available in five successive versions, each refining speed, IFC certification and extensibility, and the 3.1.2 release continues the publisher’s policy of free distribution. BIMvision is available for free on get.nero.com, with downloads provided via trusted Windows package sources such as winget, always delivering the latest version and supporting batch installation of multiple applications.
